=Hidesato=
(Japanese legend)
Hidesato is an hero from Japanese legend who once did a task
for the Dragon King.
He was travelling by Lake Biwa when he passed by a serpent
without disturbing it. This serpent was really the dragon king,
who had been waiting for someone to fulfil a task for him.
Hidesato accepted this challenge.
Up in the mountains, near the Lake Biwa, lived a huge,
terrible, man-eating monster called the centipede. He had been
causing much trouble for the people living there and so they
asked the Dragon King for help. This was the task for Hidesato,
kill the centipede.
It was done, with Hidesato shooting the beast with an arrow,
dipped into its own salivia, into its brain. The Dragon King
rewarded Hidesato by giving him a rice bag which would never
empty, a roll of silk that would never end, and a cooking pot
that needed no fire.
(Hidesato)
