Ouroborus
Ouroborus is the serpent-like dragon who bites it's own tail, forming a circle. It is a symbol that dates back as far as the 17th cnetury BCE, at least. The name 'Ouroborus' means 'devouring its tail' in Greek langauge, although the image of Ouroborus can be found in many cultures, Egyptian, Phoenician, Norse, Indian and Hindu to name a few.
Ouroborus is seen as a symbol of infinity and eternity as it takes the form of the most perfect of geometrical figures, the circle. It forms a complete separation between that which is inside and that which is outside with one continuous line. It is also a symbol of totality, completion and perfection as Ourobous sustains itself by consuming it's own tail, it need for nothing other than itself.

Ouroborus
